Dreams...and Turkey

I want to talk about Dreams. I don't mean Dreams like goals or "I dream to be a rock star", literally dreams. I have been having some strange dreams lately some of them are realistic some of them are really trippy. By trippy I mean have you ever dreamed in clay animation or dreamed that you were flying over a strange landscape...I have. I really wished I knew what some of these dreams meant. Last night I dreamed that one of my moms friends tried to seduce me (it worked) but only the woman was incredibly attractive and I am sure my mother knows no one like this in real life (regrettably) I Also had a dream that really freaked me out last week. I was with some of my friends and they were commenting on how strong I had gotten (that's the first weird part my friends are not nice haha) Secondly I was very muscular in the dream (we all know this isn't true lol) I Don't know why I dreamnt that I looked like this I am going to guess that I have been watching two much of the cartoon Black Dynamite.

Anyways as they were telling me how strong I had gotten I said, "you all have seen nothing yet." I picked up a car ...and I threw it...like it was a baseball. Everyone started cheering and doing the Dougie. Then I threw a yellow old small car if I had to guess I would say it was a pinto, people continued to cheer. This is where the dream gets even crazier Then one of my ex girlfriends walked in front of me and she was crying, I asked what was wrong and if she wanted to watch me throw cars. She just kept walking slowly and shook her hand. Then everyone in the crowd told her to not walk that way and it started to lightning and she disappeared into the distance but not far distance because she was walking to a gate that was on fire (I'm guessing the gates of hell) This gate was large but there weren't any demons or anything running around it but it was a large fiery gate. After this I continued to throw objects ( A basketball, a key, a boat, 2 more cars, and a penny) This has got to be one of the weirdest dreams I have ever had so I had to share it with you all. Does anyone know what these dreams could possibly mean? Why can I suddenly remember my dreams in vivid detail like never before. I have started to read the science and mechanics of dreams again. I learned about it in psychology class some years back in college. I am curious to what dreams I will have in the future and I am thinking of keeping a dream journal next to my bed so that as soon as I wake up from a dream I can write down in great detail what is happening. If I do indeed do that I will share any dreams I feel comfortable sharing on this blog.

Okay next subject Boars head Turkey. BOARS HEAD TURKEY TASTE GREAT I don't even know how to describe it but its so expensive =( Is there any contest where I could win a years supply of boars head turkey sandwiches? I would cry and thank Jesus of Nazareth everyday for such a bountiful blessing. I would gobble up a Boars head turkey sandwich any day of the week. I will tell you the recipe now of the perfect boars head sandwich 1. Bread (I like whole wheat or honey wheat but if its in sub form Italian is pretty awesome as well) 2. The Turkey duh 3. Lettuce and Tomato 4. Swiss Cheese (or whatever type you like) 5. Mustard and mayonnaise just a little, actually very little just a spread will do with there powers combined this is the recipe for the best sandwich ever invented!!!!!!

Shoulder Injury And JACO Bag Review

"OH NO!" I thought to myself as I woke up yesterday morning as my shoulder was throbbing with pain, I know the culprit was Brazilian jui jitsu but It only hurt a little at practice when I rolled out of a half assed arm bar. The pain came the next day. I stretched it out in the morning but to no avail. To top it off as I went into my bathroom yesterday morning at spider bit me on my back =( Geez laweez Satan was really trying my spirit lol. Well anyway I went through the motions at work hoping my shoulder would feel better...it DID NOT. I Decided to skip practice yesterday (I'm glad I did) I went home and got my nifty new JACO bag I ordered after looking at it and playing with some of the compartments(More on this later) I took at well deserved nap. After my nap my shoulder felt better, I would say it was at about 505 which is better than earlier in the day when i contemplated going to the hospital =(. The moral of this awkward rambling story is........................wait for it.............. Sleep is sometimes the BEST medicine. Some days you have to take a rest day and listen to your body. Training while you are injured will only be a greater hindrance in the long run. Today I will be right back in the gym aerobic muay thai then muay thai then BJJ (we will probably have to run as well) but I know I will be able to push through it and make it all because I made the conscious and right decision to take a day off. If you really are working towards a goal one day off will not hurt you but don't get this confused with being lazy or just quitting on yourself you have to know the difference. And that's all he (me) wrote.

Now on to a review of my MMA JACO Bag. This bag is HUGE like when I first opened the package I didn't think it was that big but then I Unfolded it lol. It cost a lot of money well to me anyway ($106) but I think it was worth it. I tested it out as soon as I got it. I can fit my Gi, 16oz boxing gloves, muay thai shorts, mouth guard, wallet, hand wraps, phone, water bottle and shin pads in it all at once. that's without using the expandable sweat portion for storage. Since I take the train to train (see what I did there) everyday its really useful for me and convenient. It has a side compartment that is insulated so it will keep things hot or cold whichever you prefer. If you train for 3+ hours a day as an amateur or pro fighter, you may want a snack or to keep water/drinks cold, this bag will do that. I highly recommend the bag it seems really sturdy. Since it is so spread out the weight distribution is really easy on my back which is a plus. You can rock the bag as a book bag or as a duffel bag with the detachable duffel bag shoulder strap. It has breathable mesh on the sides to which is really useful. If you are a MMA practitioner/serious fighter, BJJ practitioner, boxer, Martial artist and maybe even a couple of other sports like soccer and rugby you need this bag. I am still bummed that I spent so much money on a bag but I know I will be using this for a long time. I will post a picture and some websites where you can check the bag out for yourself.

Jui-jitsu or something like it

Okay I have been training muay thai for about a month and a half now and I really like it. Most of the people at my gym also do jui-jitsu and they convinced me to try it. It may be one of the hardest things I have ever attempted just between me and whoever is reading this. I have done other Martial arts before, I did Karate for about 2 1/2 years as well as Akido for about a year but none of those compares to jui-jitsu for me. I'm not saying one is better than the other I'm saying it is much more difficult for me to grasp the concepts than other Martial arts I've done. Even muay thai I understand even though it is extremely technical as well. I just think it will take some time (A couple of months) To get used to all of the grips, rolling, flips, hip thrust, hand placement, etc etc that comes with just being a beginner. I will say that it is enticingly fun and even though I can't do much I enjoy it. I learn from Diego Saraiva, He is a pretty cool teacher very laid back and likes to have fun but he's also very good. There are a lot of higher up belts in my gym but they told me not to focus on belt but the basics for now. Unlike a lot of other martial arts schools you can't really judge how long it will take you to move up in belt, you don't just automatically get it depending on how long you've been there you have to understand a lot of concepts before getting promoted. I will keep going and try to get better right now I train 5-6 days a week. I dont know how long I can keep this up or what my real goal is whether its fitness or one day competition but for now it just makes me one thing happy!

1st Post and Introduction of sorts

I have never really blogged before but I have posted random thoughts in blog formats on Facebook and even myspace when I was much younger. This blog will be about me my life, rants, and random thoughts. I will end this first post by telling you a little about myself---> I love music, family, friends, TV, cartoons/anime and having fun. I also really like combat sports and practice muay thai and jui jitsu. Scratch that I LOVE MUAY THAI AND JUI JITSU. I am a Christian even though sadly sometimes I don't act like it lol. I'm a 23 year old kid who works as an assistant at a law firm but my aspiration in life is to become a teacher -> then a principal -> and from there who knows maybe even a superintendent! Well that's all I can thank of for now. I'm also a very mean Joker from what my friends tell me so I'll leave you with a joke I invented.

What did the Crack Rock say To Whitney Houston when she lit it? SPARKLE! ...ahahaha ok but seriously R.I.P. to Whitney 365 24/7 I'm a big fan and I will always love her music, she changed the game and will always be the best to me mean jokes or not.

Read my blog once a week That's how often I plan On posting.
